ISC Beauty – Newfoundland Skincare for Calm, Clear, Luminous Skin
Formulated in-house. Guided by science. Rooted in Newfoundland.
ISC Beauty is the oldest and most established beauty house in Newfoundland and Labrador producing its own botanical formulas. Since 2009, we’ve innovated land and sea botanical extracts from in-house and collaborative research with Memorial University of Newfoundland and the National Research Council Canada to create skincare that calms, clarifies, and illuminates the skin.
Our products and rituals are designed for women seeking intentional self-care, supporting the skin through climate, life changes, and decades of living. From morning awakenings to evening unwinding, ISC Beauty transforms everyday routines into moments of mindful rituals.
Experience the art of ritual and discover your radiant, balanced skin today.
We formulate with hand collected botanicals when they are at their most potent.

A Little About our Founder, Lisa Walsh
At thirteen, a quiet knowing settled into her spirit… she would devote her life to helping others feel at home in their own skin. Her own journey began under the weight of stage three acne, a tender season that softened her confidence and shaped a deeper empathy for women who long to feel radiant, seen, and at ease within themselves.
She first answered the call to nurture through teaching, following the path of her father, Edward Walsh, and her aunts. In 1993, she graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland, with part of her journey unfolding in Harlow, Essex, England. Her years in education carried her into post-secondary teaching, where she guided and inspired students, later earning her Red Seal Journeyperson and NACC Esthetics certifications, and mentoring competitors on the national stage.
But her path was never meant to be linear… it was meant to be alchemical.
In that same year, she opened St. John’s first holistic Aveda salon and spa, a sanctuary of beauty and care. As an award-winning stylist and colourist, she flourished creatively, yet the very industry she loved asked her to listen more deeply. By 2002, health challenges from chemical exposure gently, but firmly, redirected her course.
And so, she began again.
Drawn back to the wisdom of the earth, she followed an intuitive thread into formulation, guided by an early suggestion from a university mentor toward environmental science. In a full-circle moment, she became exactly that… a quiet scientist of the natural world, blending land and sea into something both luxurious and healing.
From hand-harvested botanicals to sea-infused elements, her creations carry the energy of place… of wind, salt, and stillness. Each formula is crafted not just to improve the skin, but to soothe, restore, and illuminate from within.
This is her life’s work.
Today, she offers more than skincare… she offers ritual. A gentle invitation for women 40+ to soften into themselves, to feel beautiful without effort, and to move through each day with calm confidence and quiet radiance.
On this island we call home, where the ocean meets the soul, she has created something rare… a return to self.
